For several years, LOCC has provided a second Sunday morning worship experience each week in addition to “Worship on the Water.”
The 10:30 a.m. service first occurred at The Ritz Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, and moved from there to the Spotlight Theater to create “Worship in the Village.” LOCC then occupied The Lake Welcome Center in the fall of 2009. This location served the later service and event needs for almost three years, during which time the church continued to serve an ever-growing segment of the Greene and Putnam community.
Worship at Park Place was born in 2012 when Lake Oconee Community Church occupied both 1013 and 1015 Park Place Blvd, adjacent to the former Richland Creek Restaurant, just off of GA 44 – Lake Oconee Parkway. This facility housed LOCC services, events, and meetings, for several months, while more permanent property was being sought.
LOCC has now occupied a space at 1001 Village Park Drive, Suite 107, which will be home while the search continues for property and plans are developed for a more permanent location and the construction of a Center for Community in the future. Currently, the two services of worship on Sunday mornings are identical in content, with each taking on a personality of its own due to location and time of day.
